This book, The Use, Misuse and Abuse of Jihad is in 2 parts, and this is the second part of the series. The book addresses the misconceptions regarding the concept of Jihad and the spread of Islam on the basis of Islamic textual analysis and historical evidence. The book has 6 sections and total, and the first part covers sections 1 - 3, while the second part covers sections 4 - 6.

The first part of the book gave an overview of the concept of jihad, digging deep into its use in the Qur'an, hadith and by jurists. It also addressed the misconception of jihad being "holy war", establishing that jihad is against aggression, which could be by Muslims or people of other faiths, and not against religious diversity. It also considered jihad during the Prophet's lifetime and clarified the misconceptions regarding the battles which the Prophet (pbuh) participated in, and his treatment of the Jews of Medina. Lastly, it covered the Islamic law of war, particularly related to justifications for going to war and regulations for the conduct of war.

This second part of the book shall address issues related to the interpretation of texts which have led to a number of misconceptions about jihad by Muslims and people of other faiths. Similarly, it shall respond to and addresses the commonly misinterpreted verses of the Qur'an and hadith on jihad, relying on the Qur'an and Sunnah, while adhering to the principles of Islamic Jurisprudence (Usul al-Figh) and the Higher Intents of Islamic Law (Maqasid al-Shariah), while doing so. Lastly, it shall address other questions related to jihad including those to do with Muslim Sonquests and the spread of Islam; as well as the Islamic balancing of the provision for forgiveness with the provision for justice.
