This book, Al-Ameen: 40+ Lessons for Building Bridges and Breaking Barriers to Peace from the Life of Prophet Muhammad, is in 2 parts, and this is the second part of the series. The book highlights the bridge-building and peace-making efforts of the Prophet (pbuh) in his dealings with Muslims and people of other faiths. This aims to dispel the misconception that Islam prohibits harmonious relationships with peaceful people of other faiths. The first part covered 3 themes highlighting from the sirah (biography) of the Prophet (pbuh) cases of respect, justice, forgiveness, tolerance, magnanimity, and upholding the ties of kinship irrespective of faith.

This second part of the book shall cover themes 4 – 6. These focus on the different treaties and alliances forged by the Prophet (pbuh) in a bid to engender peaceful relationships within and around the new city-state of Madinah, as well as his gentle and forgiving behaviour to misbehaving Muslims. It also covers section two of the book which narrows in on some specific incidents from the Sirah of the Prophet (pbuh) that have been most commonly misinterpreted by some Muslims and non-Muslims, with a view of facilitating better comprehension by putting them in their correct historical context and clarifying misconceptions and erroneous conclusions that have been arrived at, as a result of missing information or prejudiced bias in their interpretation of the Sirah (biography). For each case presented, supporting texts from the Qur‟an and Hadith, as well as comments of scholars on the narrative are presented for further clarification. Thereafter, the implications and lessons derivable from the narrative are also stated. After each theme, discussion questions are given to further aid comprehension and practical application of the lessons derivable from the cited cases.
