Da’wah Institute of Nigeria Inaugurates Her Fellowship Board Members

The Da’wah Institute of Nigeria (DIN) inaugurates thirteen of her resource facilitators and core volunteers into the DIN Fellowship Board at the Islamic Education Trust Conference Hall, Minna, Niger State on Saturday 21st, October 2017.

Speaking at the event, the National President of the Islamic Education Trust Dr Sheikh Ahmed Lemu (OFR) charged the members to put Allah first in all their dealings, be proactive and always aim at excellence.

He further decried that personal selfish interest across all levels of leadership, greed for wealth in whatever manner, and the quest for power and fame as factors militating against the progress of the nation.

“Your role as board members is to proffer proactive means to mobilize the nation on God consciousness and total character reformation, as this is the remedy to the anomaly facing the nation,” he stated.

Also at the event were Alhaji Arzika Rimau (Deputy Director General, IET), Alh. Ibrahim Yahya (Director Da’wah Institute of Nigeria), Alh. Abdulraheem Sulaiman (Director, Da’wah Grassroot Programme (DGP) among others.

The inaugurated board members include:

  • Abdullahi Lamido (Lecturer, International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, Bayero University, Kano),
  • Muh’d Jameel Muh’d (National Ameer, Muslim Students Society of Nigeria MSSN),
  • Isa Ja’far (Deputy Provost, AID College of Health Science and Technology, Kano),
  • Ismail AbdulKadir (Senior Research Officer, Da’wah Institute of Nigeria),
  • Attahiru Baba Minna (Senior Research Officer, Da’wah Institute of Nigeria),
  • Sulayman Deinde Olokodana (Naibul-Ameer, Movement for Islamic Culture and Awareness, Lagos State),
  • Nasir Bello (Staff, Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO),
  • Mujahid Aminudeen (Head, Resource Management Department, IET),
  • Bashir Mundi (Director Admin, Inspire Academy, Abuja),
  • Alhaja Saidat AbdulAzeez-Onike (NASFAT),
  • Salatu Sule (Vice Principal, New Horizon College, Minna),
  • Haleema Oladamade Ahmad (Chief Editor, Da’wah Institute of Nigeria), and
  • Lukman Ajani (Registrar, Da’wah Institute of Nigeria).

At the end of the event, the inaugurated members had a roundtable meeting on the sustainable strategies for admission and training of prospective fellow candidates. The members will undergo training on Shariah Intelligence, Da’wah Resource Management, Inter-Religious Dialogue, Prevention of Violent Extremism through Alternative Narratives, Marital Counselling, and Personal and Community Development among others.
